Kpop: aren't they underaged?

By 10:12 am , ,

it's not like i'm innocent -i like Kpop. and NO i'm not talking bout which member of SNSD who's got most plastic surgery or why they're always denied while the facts are obvious.

i like kpop. why? because it's purity of entertaiment. it's irony, it's plastic world, but yet extreme hardwork. kpop industry doesn't believe in instant popularity (far far different in indonesia's entertaiment industry). if they want to debut a girlgroup or boygroup or a singer -they put a lot of money and efforts to do it. they'll make sure the group they're produced have talent (sing, dance, and act) and integrity. and the trainee her/himself have to work really really hard to debut. and i'm not talking bout a year or two but YEARS!

so, if you judge them as 'lame' boyband and 'annoying' girlgroup -you had no idea what they've been through. personally, mostly, i salute them for that. for the hardwork to pursue their dreams, the resistance, the determine, and of course -most of all -the energy to face the after-effect of popularity. most of them started to train very early -around pre-teen. so imagine, while you spent your time hang out with your friends and your parent's money, they worked really really hard every single day JUST to be that 'annoying' or 'lame'.

BUT, there's some things in kpop industry bothers me. which bothers me most are image and costume. i don't know if they had law for underaged or not. this is an irony for me because i dont mind sexy dance and sexy costume BUT if teen girls singing and dancing in racy costume -dont you feel there's something wrong with that? i mean...if you look closely, Miley Cyrus or even teenage Britney Spears are nothing compare to the them.

here's the list:

RANIA

well, they got banned in Korea and they had to changed some choreography if they want to do live show. the youngest member of this group was born in '93 and they're even on Maxim! they've been called asian pussycat dolls but unlike them -they ALL can sing and dance. personally, i like them. why? because if you want to be sexy then do it 100% and they did it 150%...nicely done.

T-ae: guess? 19 (or 18 when this photo taken)

Xia: yes, sir, she's also 19 (or 18 when this photo taken)

HYUNA '4 minutes'

this mv was lead to controversial in Korea as well the choreography. she was just 18 when this video released. well, apparantely, this song listed as SPIN's 20 best song of 2011. i dont really favor her and my first impression of this song (and video) was annoying. but as time goes by i started enjoy it. she gave me some weird confidence that even a kpop star has cellulite.

hello, missy, how old are you? what? 18? 19?

After School

after school is one of the senior girlgroup in kpop industry. i think, this mv is their wildest and naughtiest video ever. the newest and the youngest member was born in 94'. also, there were other members in 92's line. i like them because despite of everything -they're good. but, Sir, puting teen girls (under 21) in lingerie is STILL such a disturbance and smell illegal.

kaeun: she's just 18, dude
eyoung: well, 20
lizzy: yeah, 20
