an ideal love song should be simply, deep, and of course EMOTION. it has to be got a soul! just like a human's heart. am i being too much?! yes, i am. because i love love songs. and i'll worship every musician who can create them well.

1. Coldplay - The Scientist

eventhough Coldplay become annoying recently, and this song just make that a solid fact. a prove how glorious Coldplay back then. this song also sits on first place at Coldplay's top 10 ten singles by NME. actually, this song wasnt about love but that's a great point. the video clip just awesome. no tears. no cheesy words. no couple scene. love love love it (with british accent).

2. AIR - Playground Love

if u havent watch The Virgin Suicides by Sofia Coppola then YOU SHOULD! the song was a soundtrack of it. the film is brilliant. the soundtrack is great. whole package-movie. because of this (and Phoenix -which the vocalist is the hubby of Sofia) i have a thing on Francis-musician. play it and make love to yourself or anyone around you :D

3. Elton John - Your Song

it's classic and timeless. period.

4. Slank - Anyer 10 Maret

it's not fair if i don't put any indonesian musician here. coz, in fact, they're great (not all, but some). in my opinion, 90's era was the glorious time of Indonesia's music. why i pick Slank? because their lyrics are honest, rebel, simply, and have emotion. at this point, i can see how much drugs and alcohol contribute on creativity. but that's just ironic.

5. Iwan Fals - Yang Terlupakan

comparing his songs after 90's era (2000's), his songs during 80's and 90's were much better. eventhough, mostly he wrote about politic and social, but when he did the love song...damn. well, he's a legend, what can I say.
